Good day listmembers, I need some help. Back in the late 1930's, my mother [Dorothy WISSER MACK] along with her siblings were all placed in foster homes. My mother went to the LEM[P]KE farm [RR#1] in Kewanee, Henry Cty, IL. She grew up there with her foster sister, Velma. Velma was 15 years older than she. When Velma's parents passed away, Velma and her husband, Everett KRAUSE, finished raising my mother until the age of 18. At that time, my mother left the farm and returned to Chicago, Cook Cty, IL where she met my father, married and raised 4 children in Maywood, Cook Cty, IL. When my mother passed away, I lost track of Velma [Everett passed away in 1982]. Since becoming involved in tracing my family tree, I thought many times about Velma & Everett. I did not know how to get in touch with Velma and considering she'd be in her late 80's, I assumed she could have passed away. My assumption was incorrect. Recently, through Rootsweb's SSDI, I find Velma passed away Feb 20th of this year and in Kewanee, IL. Would SKS who has access to the Kewanee Newspapers, please see if there was an obituary around the time of her death or perhaps know where I might be able to find out where she's buried or find this info for myself. I live in Cook County and haven't an availability to check this out for myself. Thank you in advance for any help you may pass my way. Beverly Mack Zanon Researching: LEM[P]KE KRAUSE
