Richard....the reason I included the info on the Loomis family was obviously because the Chapin family had a kid with the given name of Loomis. However....since both wives were born in NY....I wondered if they weren't perhaps....sisters?....or maybe the Chapin woman was born a Loomis. Just a thought. Julie, I understand and Chapins did intermarry with a Loomis family, but in the direct line. But, it does probably account for the given name of Loomis.
