Hi, James, Although the county was established by law in 1825, there wasn't a courthouse until the early 1840's. Most of the records weren't required to be kept before 1911. There are land records that date (I think) to the 1840's, there are 1850 census records and mortality schedules, and some cemetery records. Birth and marriage records were recorded hit or miss, beginning in the 1870's.
