If anyone is researching the Swedish Mortenson/Nelson line from Galva area, I would like to exchange information with you. Swan Nelson and Nels Mortenson came from the Storra Herrestad area. Swan had several descendants that I would like to contact. His two sisters, Christine and Katherine married Mortenson brothers (Nels and Peter). Christine and Nels were married in Sweden. I am interested in the Swedish Nelsons, some of whom I believe to be my direct ancestors. My source for this information is a gravestone in Andover Lutheran Cemetery, which on one side has the names of my great grandfather Arthur Vigor and his wife GERDA C. NELSON (Apr. 26 1887-Jul. 28, 1945), and on the other side, Arthur's father Swan Vigor and (his wife apparently) CAROLINA S. NELSON (Oct. 28, 1834-Jan. 28, 1911). -Matthew B.
