Rhona, I looked for it while in the Bishop Hill in Henry Co. last Summer. The early colonists there had an awful 1st year winter - cold and no warm shelter. Some of the settlers apparently moved out to the area called Red Oak and stayed there for a while. I drove around the "woods" and could see no settlement, just farms! Dick Matteson College Park, MD I would say the spot is about a mile Northwest of Bishop Hill. [I'll bet Bob Nelson know just where!] On Wed, 19 Feb 2003 17:34:39 EST Boogie720@aol.com writes: > To whom it may concern: > Can someone on the list please tell me where Red Oak Timbers is?
