Well, the new year has begun, and I'm seriously getting back into research again. These are the names that I am working on from Henry Co. Most of my family was in the Alpha area, but they occassionally stretched out from there. I would really like to exchange info with anyone who might be connected to me. Jan Rutledge Roggy My grandparents were Freeland Rutledge & Mina Lutrell My great grandparents were : William McCurdy Rutledge & Elvie Douglas Marshall Lafayette Lutrell & Clara Louisa Forster My g-g- grandparents were William Rutledge & Ann McCurdy Stokley Smith Douglas & Anna Glennan & Margaret Christina Warner Columbus Campbell Luttrell & Lydia Margaret Palmer Thomas Kingsley Forster & Mary Lucinda Mundy Thus my lines connect to these lines to name a few: McCurdy/Luttrell/Rutledge/Timberlake/Warner/Palmer/Richardson/Forster/ Weible/Siebert/Wilson/McCleave/Weir/Payton/Freeman/Cole/Plunkett/Douglass/ White/
I am looking for a Kim who has info on William Oliver Allison who married Phylinda Patterson. The address that I had found for you didn't work, so I would love to chat with you about these surnames. Will you please email me privately if you're still out there? Jan Rutledge Roggy
Pam, Sorry, my Smiths are from Huron County, Ohio to Lynn Township, Henry County/Richland Township, Mercer County, Illinois in the mid-1830's. Aren't these Smiths almost impossible to find anything on? Best Luck in your search, John S. Raschke Springfield, IL
Hello, I am in search of information on a William and a Nancy or Mary Rollins, living in Kewanee, between 1900 and 1920. They had a son, Frank, who had a store on June Street in 1913, and he was the first person on which a pullmotor was used as he was dying in February of that year. I have found no information of William or Nancy,(which is how her name is on the obituary of Frank in 1913, and I am trying to acquire information on William. They came to Illinois in the mid-1850's, to Bureau County, and then to Henry County, in Kewanee. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can find William or Mary/Nancy? I have talked to Bureau County and they said they have no information there for them. Thank you for any suggestions. Sincerely, Gail Watson
I am attempting to locate the date of death of CollyAnne Wilkey, wife of Hugh Wilkey. She disappears from the census between 1910 and 1920. In 1910 she was living in Cambridge with daughter Maggie Ludlum. Any help with a date would enable me to order death record and I would really appreciate it. Thank You. Rose Allgood
John, It just dawned on me!! You list Pobanz, I list Pobanz. Possible kinship?? My gggrandmother was Matilda T. Pobanz from Edford. Born and raised, spent some of her adult life when she got divorced in Geneseo. She died in Geneseo but is buried in Edford. I don't know a thing about her except she was born 9 January 1876 and died 1 July 1927. She is buried by herself. Her ex-husband died in geneseo but I have no clue where he's buried. No cemetery claims him yet. The family thinks his grave was unmarked because nobody claimed the body. Myth?? Let me know if this Matilda matches stuff you have. Hello Linda, Saw your response to the roll call from Cindy. Were you able to fill in any more info on the families that I had sent you a while back? Or even correct errors that I had made? How did you come out trying to find any info on your birth family - the Johnson family? Hope you were able to get some leads. Hope to hear from you. Thank you Jacquie for your reply, We have been in touch about a year ago on a Lievens-Vandevoorde couple, you may remember. Yes, I would be gratefull if you could give me the names etc. of the Van Hyftes, because there are 2 other Van Hyfte branches in Atkinson, of which I only had partial data: a Peter Van Hyfte, married to a Rosalia Vermeire, who emigrated in 1892, and a Leopold Van Hyfte, married to a Amelia Cauwels, who emigrated in early 1870's. Anything you may have on any of the 3 branches, who are all related to my mother's Van Hyfte family, or in fact on any Van Hyfte in the area may contribute to a better knowledge of this family. On the Ellis Island website I have found much more Van Hyftes, but I cannot place them all at this time, so I still have a long way to go, both here in Flanders and the Netherlands, and in the US. Looking forward to your answer, and if there is anything I can help you with, please let me know. And a Marry Christmas to you and to yours. Merry Christmas Everyone and happy relative (ancestor) hunting in 2003
Hello all, I live in Belgium and am looking for descendants of Edmond Van Hyfte, who emigrated from Sint-Laureins in Belgium to Illinois, together with his brother Jules in March 1910. They went to a cousin Goethals, living in Peoria at that time (according to the Ellis Island website). Contact with the Belgian family has been lost, but the last known residence of both brothers was Atkinson, Henry County, Ill. Anyone information on these brothers and their family is welcome. Thanks Alex Haverbeke
There are about 20 Van Hyftes in the Atkinson Catholic Cemetery. (St. Anthony's) Two Edmonds and one Julius included. There are alos 8 Goethals. If you want the names, dates etc, please let me know. I'd be happy to send them to you.
