    1. [ILHENRY-L] Re: Gustafson & Titus Families
    2. Bonnie Wiley
    3. Hi, Zack, I'm in the process of updating the Rosedale Cemetery Inscriptions for the HC Genealogical Society. I have some of the information on the Gustafson and Titus families from the inscriptions and will send it to you this evening. Bonnie

    1. [ILHENRY-L] Gustafson and Titus family
    2. Seeking information on the Gustafson and Titus families of Cambridge, IL. Alfred F. Gustafson married Hildegard Titus on 10 Novemeber 1898 in Rock Island, IL. The family lived in Cambridge and got married in Rock Island. Alfred and Hildegard had four children; they are Vernie, Ralph, Frances and Gladys Gustafson. Frances married Willis Ladd. They had one child. I have no family information on Vernie, Ralph and Gladys. I suspect they never married, but I don't know that for a fact. Vernie was born on 25 August 1903 and died in June 1978 in Cambridge. Ralph was born 1901 and died 1952. Frances was born 2 Feb. 1907 and died July 1975 in Cambridge. Gladys was born 4 June 1912 and died 5 Novemeber 1996 in Boulder, CO. The family is buried in Rosedale Cemetery. Any further information that you may be able to supply would be greatly appreciated. I am connected to this family via Hildegard Titus's brother, John Emil Titus. Most of my information is on the Titus family, and I would be happy to share that information. John Titus, his wife and children, also lived in Cambridge. Thank you, Zack Pasters

    1. [ILHENRY-L] Horatio Nelson and Mary (Tee) Clark after 1900
    2. Paul Aspy
    3. We are descended from this couple who moved from Iowa to Kewanee about 1900. I am hoping to find some living relatives. I know at the time of Horatio's death in 1917 several children lived in the Kewanee area-Mary O'Connor, Robert Clark, Edith Cook and Henry Clarke. William Henry Clark left his children Lawrence and Eugene and their families in Kewanee at the time of his death in 1962. Edith Cook had apparently married Warren Lester by this time. We descend from Robert Clark, but have lost all contact with the family. I do have a picture of William Henry Clark and his wife Nora, but would like more up to date info on the family and to share what we have. Valona Aspy in Kingsport, Tennessee

    3. I just wanted everyone who helped me with my search for Horatio Gates Sanford of Co. A 124th Illinios who died July 17, 1864 in Vicksburg know that I am FINALLY going to Vicksburg to visit his grave and follow the route of the 124th's march in the spring of 1864. I believe that I will be the first person in the family to visit his grave. I bought a copy of the regimental history that fills in some details and with his diary we hopefully can at least see the same terrain. Unfortunately they were doing the Sherman thing and burned many of the towns, so I don't expect to see too much of them with original architecture. I'll give a report when we return. John Bland Sr., b 9 May 1842 in England. Married 1 January 1862 in Coal Valley, IL to Mary ?. She was born 17 August 1843 in England and died 13 March 1935. John Sr. died 1 November 1911 in Alpha. They had 9 children, one of whom was John Bland Jr. who married Lucia Shaw in 1897. He is buried in Alpha Cem. 3. Jane, I think I can go one step further than that and help you out. My grandparents were good friends with the Bland family and then when my parents moved here, their son moved here also and we have remained friends thru the years. Let me get my records out and I'll share some info with you. The grandkids live here in town with me. Let me see what I can find out for you. I am trying to find a date of birth and a date of death for her husband, John Bland. She was a widow when she died. Does anyone on this list have access to a cemetery index for Alpha Cemetery that could check to see if John Bland is buried next to his wife Mary and what his dates of birth and death are? 2. John - Your "Greenbury Chany" is listed in Daviess County, MO, Lincoln Township in the 1870 census. If you have Ancestry, go to image 206 or page 330. Hope that helps even though it's not 1860. 3. I am looking for any information, hopefully someone with a index to the 1860 Henry Co. census. I do have access to Ancestry.com. but no index. I have a Greenbery Chaney and Elizabeth Fell married in Henry Co. in 1857, and there are probably other children, but have information that 3 of their children were born in Illinois, before they moved to Missouri. I need to locate their whereabouts in Illinois during 1860, hopefully in Henry Co?? Anyone help? Thanks, John ...
