    1. [ILHENRY-L] Henry vital records
    2. Bernie, Go to "www. henrycty.com/vital.htm " (without the quotes) and you can print forms to send to Henry Co. to get birth, marriage and death certificates. Just follow the simple directions. I have been doing it for quite awhile and have had good results from them. Bill

    3. Janice Can I mail some money and get the same services? How much extra is it? How far back do the birth records go? Sally Jaquet ---------- From: mmpeanut <[email protected]> Bernie, If you can get to Cambridge, Illinois go to the courthouse. It is on the main road. You can't miss it. If he was born in Kewanee in 1902 it will be listed in the books marked birth records. It will tell you who his parents and where they lived. If you want a copy of the birth certificate it will cost $7. It is $1 for the search of the original record but it is waived if you get a copy. The people there are very pleasant. Janice

    2. I find it hard to believe that there is no information on the Verbout fmily when the information I have on my father, Alphonso Francis Verbout, is that he was born in Kewanee on 23 August 1902. I am looking for more information on him, i.e., where was he born at home, where was he baptized, who were his Godparents, how long did he live in Kewanee, what property did is parents(Petrus Franciscus Verbout and his wife Louise Verbout, maiden name Staedt) own or rent, etc. Bernie Verbout

    1. [ILHENRY-L] Reunion: Hampton,Curl,Reynolds,Lane
    2. mmpeanut
    3. Well the reunion is over. I guess you could call it a somewhat success. It was the first time my cousin and I had done one and we weren't really sure how to do it. We had about 30-35 people show up. We were a little disappointed that none of the Lanes,Curls or Reynolds from Dewitt County never showed up. We were hoping to get some more information in that line. We did have a lot of Hamptons though. I was very happy to find that there was more looking for the past. Maybe we can take that line back a little more now. If you don't know whether you belong to that line or not here are a few names for you to consider. Thomas Jefferson Hampton married Sarah McCumber. Their son John Edward Hampton married Mariah Reynolds. Son Alexander Hampton married Rose Nell Curl Rose Nell Curls parents were John W. Curl and Delcina Lane. She (Rose) was born in Dewitt County. Delcinas parents were Asher Lane and Sarah Emmert. The town of Lane was named after her grandparents. I will get together what I have and post it later this month. I am going to try to get to Dewitt County and see if I can find more information. I do hope someone can help me out. You all have a good and happy 4th. Janice Hampton Mercer www.angelfire.com/mn/peanut/MyFamilyGenealogyPage2.html Will post more at a later date.

    1. [ILHENRY-L] Cleveland info
    2. Kathy Minder
    3. Cleveland is a very small village next to the Rock River in northwestern Henry County. It is in the middle of a buyout from the State of Illinois and the Department of Natural Resourses. Many homes there are being sold, then torn down, as they are in the flood zone and FEMA,IEMA, and DNR aren't willing to pay for the fixup of them each year. Many residents are moving to higher ground in the village, while others are leaving entirely. Cleveland, along with Dayton Corners, have cemeteries with settlers of the 1850's buried in them. Dayton Corners is the home of Brandenburg's Tavern where the first settlers of Henry County came. Kathy Minder Geneseo,IL "Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend... 2. Jerry and Cindy Youngquist
    3. On Sunday July 9th from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the Super 8 Motel in Kewanee, (Henry County),llinois there will be an open house for anyone interested in Family Research. In 1999 Linda Albright, her daughter Katie, sister-in-law Cindy Albright and their mother Betty Albright came to Kewanee to trace the families tree. Many people were visited at that time, also the local churches, library and cemetery. Once again this family is traveling to Kewanee to continue their search. They are very interested in the Keiser/Kaiser and Albright/Albrecht names, but have many other names that they have found a connection with. Baade, Beccue, Bremer, Boeji, Fetting, Fuerst, Godke, Grothe, Heise, Jerlow, Kaupp, Kowalski, Kramer, Krahn, Krause, Kremzow, Maltzer, Maeltzer, Nelson, Neuendorf, Prince, Reiff, Richter, Roebuck, Ruckle, Straub, Stolley, Thurnagel, Viane, Yager or Yeager, Zang. They have many pictures available to show people during this open house and refreshments will be served. If you can make it we would really appreciate it. Cindy Youngquist, Linda Albright, Katie Albright, and Betty (Mrs. Clarence) Albright. Please consider stopping by, as we have lots of names that we are interested in connecting with. Email this address if you have questions.
