Listers: Can anyone help me in finding any information about S.C.COX who lived in Henry Co, IL in 1858? The only thing I know of him is from the War of 1812 papers of Levi JONES, dated 1858, asking that a reply to him be sent in care of S.C.COX at Oxford, Henry Co, IL. I suspect there was a relationship and am desparate to learn anything at all about S.C.COX. Would SKS look in the census of 1850 and 1860 for the COX family? Are there COX descendants still in the area? Levi JONES lived at Rock Island Co in 1850, Mercer Co in 1860 and evidently was in Henry Co. for some part of that time.
