    3. You mean like this? Apology accepted. Janice ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ My choice of the word "garbage" was poor, and I apologize for offending Janice and Debbie and probably a lot more, but what do you call all the extra that appears on the Digest List when it's not edited by the sender? That's where cut and paste is essential. Clear and concise messages, remember? Sorry to cause such a flame, but it seemed applicable at the time. I've only helped people on this list, I've never made a request for information, so maybe I really shouldn't be making any comments. In the future I'll use the delete button as suggested.

    2. Aren't you all being a little childish. Use your delete button or don't use the digest mode. Your rude for not asking nicely. Take this from a list manager. I don't allow this on my list. I think you owe everyone and apology. Carol

    3. Since you put it that way, I can handle it. I just got to me when it sounded like all our hard work was put in the phrase "garbage". Cut and paste message and subj. and leave the ad links out. That'll work. :) Janice ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, October 06, 2000 2:07 PM Subject: [ILHENRY-L] Re: cut and paste > Hold on here gang before we start a war here! :) I think this person has a > legitimate request here, and if we think this through, you might understand > what she is requesting, is that when you want to respond to a certain > message, you cut and paste that message only, and not just respond by > clicking on reply all, which copies the entire list of messages. 2. Hold on here gang before we start a war here! :) I think this person has a legitimate request here, and if we think this through, you might understand what she is requesting, is that when you want to respond to a certain message, you cut and paste that message only, and not just respond by clicking on reply all, which copies the entire list of messages. Often times we get excited when we see a post that might refer to our family lines, and we just click on reply all, rather than copying and pasting only the message of importance.......it can be rather tedious to, as she put it, wade through all the old stuff numerous times, especially if this one message brings out a lot of responses. It is also important we remember to use the subject line of our messages and Re: the subject in question and not Re: the Digest in question. I hope I have cleared this up for some, and been diplomatic in doing so. :) Thanks, Mikki Judge Buffalo, IA
