    2. Janice, I doubt if the library has this. I have made copies of some of the pages while I was in Salt Lake. Will look up information for you. Bill

    3. Bill, I have heard of this book. I just don't like to buy things if it isn't going to help me. Have the 20 CD of FTM and there is nothing in it pertaining to my ancestors. Lots of money wasted. Is there a chance the libraries would have it. 3. I don't usually respond to much and just look, but I use to go to High School in Newark Illinois with a Steve Blakenship. I do not know if there is any connection to your family or not, but there are a few Blakenship's there. They are farmers and had some pretty large farms. I know Steve's family had lived there for quite a long time. I lived there in 1966. It might be worth checking it out. 1. [ILHENRY-L] HERNBLOM and OMARK photos
    2. Bob Miller
    3. I have the following 4x6 photographs that were taken by Strong Photography in Kewanee, Illinois circa 1880-1890. Picture 1 labeled: "Mr. Peter OMARK" The picture is of one boy about 15 years old. He probably married a Hannah ENGLAND in Knox County on May 15, 1897. Picture 2 labeled: "Mr. & Mrs. Gus HERNBLOM" The picture includes a man, a woman and 3 young children probably less than 5 years old. The woman is probably Helena TOGERSON who married a Gustaf HERNBLOM on Mar 22, 1873 in Cook County or Augusta E. JOHANSDOTTER who married a Gustaf HERNBLOM on Mar 2, 1885 in Cook County. Both pictures are in good condition. I would like to get them to any surviving relatives. Bob in Minnesota

    3. Thank you very much for looking, Barbara. Just one more thing: does the fact that GINNEBERGE does not appear in those cemetery lists mean that they never lived there? I'm going after the William Malamphy and George Lyons families who lived in Kewanee. If you have any info on them it would be greatly appreciated. Also if the Thurwanger I have is any help, let me know. Bill << Hi, \ New to this website and have been looking for the graves of my gggrandparents..Marx and Elizabeth Thurwanger. My great grandfather was Jacob Thurwanger, lived in Kewanee since about the early 1900's..I think that his parents came with him when he moved from New York. I have been told that they are buried in St. Mary's Cemetary....Hooppole?, but have been unable to find the graves..Is it possible that they are buried in Kewanee? Thank You, Marg >>

    1. [ILHENRY-L] Blankenship
    2. Hello Everyone, This is my first post to the list, and it isnt a very good one. The reason being is that I am looking for my Calvin BLANKENSHIP without much to go on. I am sending this to the Illinois lists because I am thinking that since his wife was born in IL and her parents in TN, that maybe the Blankenship's moved from TN to IL, then to MO. Unfortunately I do not have last names for the women born in IL, but I figure that if I start shooting in the dark long enough, I will hit something. I estimate the Blankenship's migrating to IL after 1825. I found Calvin BLANKENSHIP married to DELIAH on the 1850 Texas County, MO census. Living next door to Calvin is WILLIAM BLANKENSHIP and his wife, PAMELA JANE. Since Calvin was only a couple of years older than William, I have to assume they are related, if not brothers, because they were the only Blankenships in TExas County at this time and they were both born in TN and both of their wives in IL (just thought that was interesting). SInce Calvin Died during the civil war (there is no record on him except a muster roll, since he was a confederate), he wasnt around when the government started asking where their parents were born. I followed Deiliah until 1880. I estimate her time of death between 1881-1883. I followed William, and he lists his parents as also being born in TN ..... although its a shot in the dark, is there anyone out there that has a link to a BLANKENSHIP's that had a son named Calvin, (who was born abt 1820-25) and/or William (b. abt.1823-1826). I do not have Calvin's parents names or their wives maiden names. I am hoping to connect them to someone who might be able to shed some light on this for me .... Thank you in advance!!!!
