    3. Paul; Didn't take it as criticism, my GG-Grandpa had an Aunt 8 years older than him who had all her kids before she married. She was also his sister-in-law because she married his wife's brother. Have you checked the online IL state records? http://www.sos.state.il.us/

Rod Stucker is a grandson of Henry Delaney (note spelling) Henry was a 1/2 brother to Dessie Dulaney..he lived in CA...Rodney has been on the Dulaney family for a long time..we never thought to try "Dessa"..maybe we will hit paydirt...birthday for Dessie & Della (Dessa) is off about 6 years..of course that is still possible, as sometimes people did not give their correct ages for one reason or another.. Exciting find.....thanks..I will try to investigate this further...there as a branch of Dulaneys in Ohio, BUT this lady was b. in VA & parents in VA so that about eliminates the Ohio ones... Thanks again !! Ole Paul keep the mail comin' to Ole Paul

    3. HELLO in Henry county! I am new to your list (today) hope y'all had a good Thanksgiving up there... I will personally do the ol' Virginia flatfoot dance for the one that can help me.... Searching for ANY info. on this lady... Odessa (Dessie) Dulaney b. in Floyd Co, VA Jan. 9, 1893..went to Woodhall area ca 1915-1918...this lady had a child out of wedlock and left the child here in VA and went to Henry Co...she is not listed under the Dulaney name in any Illinois census, so I assume she married..(in Henry Co.) and I do not know who she married..her child is now 91 years old and has never seen her mother since she was 4 years old..WHAT A CHRISTMAS PRESENT IT WOULD BE IF SHE FOUND WHERE HER MOM WENT AND WHO SHE MARRIED!...her daughter is named Rushie (Dulaney) Hylton and lives in Richmond, VA.... Is there a sleuth in Henry Co. that can SOMEHOW find who Odessa ( Dessie) Dulaney married? Is there an index to female marriages in the courthouse?? THANKS for your help....I will be shinin' up my dancin' shoes !! Ole Paul in VA keep the mail comin' to Ole Paul

    1. [ILHENRY-L] Re: Who can help?
    2. Hi Ed - I've got an update on the Frank L. BUGIYNE from the 1920 census, Henry County, Wethersfield Township. I found him in the 1930 census married to one of the individuals from my family that he was living with in 1920. He apparently married Bessie IMES (first marriage to ? CRIST) shortly after the 1920 census. They settled in Chicago where they are found in the 1930 census. In this census, the birth information of Frank is changed. He is listed as born in Illinois to a father born in Belgium and a mother born in Wisconsin. If you look at the Illinois Death Index online at. . . http://www.sos.state.il.us/departments/archives/genealogy/forms/idphdeathsrch. html . . . you'll find a bunch of BUGIYNE individuals. Most of them are in Henry County and the two in Chicago are Bessie IMES and most likely Frank, although indexed as "Frak." Thought you might want the updated information for your files. Best of luck finding your folks. Shelly > Hi Shelly, > > Sorry for the late reply and thanks for the information you sent. > I know the "Begheyn" name is in America spelled in so many variations. 3. Hi Jacquie, Again thanks for your information that made me again a little wiser. I shall write a letter to Mrs. Pride Topham as you suggested however I hope the adress given is still actual. Sorry for the late reply; wish you a nice weekend! Best greetings, Ed van de Walle - Tilburg / Nederland e-mail; edmundus@home.nl ----- Original Message ----- From: Fred and Jacquie Schattner To: ILHENRY-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Tuesday, November 12, 2002 11:32 PM Subject: Re: [ILHENRY-L] Re: Who can help? Begyn - Naturalization In Henry County, Peter Begyn was naturalized on June 5, 1941. He was 68 years old. Edward Begyn born 1879 was naturalized april 11, 1901 at the age of 17. (There must be a mistake in the birth year because at 17 years old, he would have been born in 1884. And he is listed as a minor so he has be to under 18. ) Both were natives of Belgium. As for finding Mrs. Topham, you will probably have to write her a letter with a stamp!. Many people do not have e-mail. You can find her address on alot of search sites for telephone and addresses. 3. Hi Dick, Sorry for the late reply, I was busy, busy, and busy again. The information you sent is familiar to me; I had found it long ago in the internet (via Google, my favourit finder). However this Dennis Begyn is yet unknown for the familytree, he fits nowhere and remains in the archives for later use perhaps. Anyway thanks for your help. Ed, I do not study this family but I do know that there is a large group of Belgians who came to the Rock Island area of Illinois in the 1800s and later some show up in Eastern Iowa (across the Mississippi River). Also I found Lowpoint, IL about 20 miles North-East of Peoria, IL. I used the Internet finder called "Google" (www.google.com) and searched for "Begyn" and found quite a few items! You might try that. I am including a portion of a number of comments upon one Begyn's death. It is but an example, however it does mention a lot of Begyns who may be good "targets" for your research!
