I have nothing in my BEATTY or WESTBROOK lines to tie the county to births/deaths or even residences. If any of you find any references to those two names in your county research I'd love to hear from you. I do belong to both the BEATTY and WESTBROOK Rootsweb groups, but my two folks seem to be orphans and appeared on this earth on Oct 17, 1865 when they were married. Neither of their death certs give any info other than dates/states of birth (George BEATY KY Aug 1838, and Caroline WESTBROOK VA Mar 1842). From their wedding in 1865 until sometime between 1877 and 1882 they lived in IL, but I haven't found where. They moved to Tingley, Ringgold Co., IA area before 1882, and I have them well documented from that point on. ANY help on their stay in IL and especially Hancock Co would be appreciated.
