My greatgrandfather, Patrick McDERMOTT and his spouse, Brigid DEEGAN McDermott, lived in Warsaw Illinois from 1871-1895(?). They are listed in Warsaw, Illinois in the Federal Census for 1880. Their last child, Emily, was born in Warsaw Illinois in 1871. One of their daughters, Anna, married Thomas LAFFEY there in 1881. The only other collateral name I have for them is CULLEN who lived across the River in Keokuk, IA. McDERMOTT daughters, Mary and Maggie lived there too. My curiosity is really about why they came to Warsaw IL. They married in Delaware; moved to Euclid OH; then to Hamtramck MI; Warsaw IL; and finally settled in Chicago before 1900. Ginny McDermott
