I think most are just named History of Hancock County. The earliest that I know about was in 1880 and was edited by Thomas Gregg. Next was in the early 1920s edited by Charles Scofield. There was another about 1968 and there is a new one just out which is a pictorial edition but doesn't have a lot of written word. There is also a Biographical Review written by Hobart that is quite interesting if you have your own people listed in the volume. That one is quite old and you may not find it available for loan. Information about all of these volumes is available at the Hancock County Historical Society as the 2 earliest books have been recently reprinted and are available for purchase. Too, they have volunteers who are available to do research for you at a reasonable price.
