Hi all, I am having a bit of a problem locating a former town called "Commerce"? The letter I have was written in 1898, and it claims some of my family (in 1830's) are buried in "a bluff overlooking the River" and were from "..the town of Commerce, now Nauvoo". Does anyone know which cemetery would have been closest to the former village konwn as "Commmerce"? Very close to the Mississippi River? Thanks! Valerie

Montebello is the Township closest to Commerce or now known as Nauvoo. Montebello is south of Nauvoo. Sonora would be north of Nauvoo and would be closest to the river in the North. I have not finished those sections yet so bare with me please.
