Hi! I have a general question re cemetery records though I'm specifically looking for the records for this cemetery. According to their obituaries, my g-g-gparents, Marvin and Patience Sandidge Elwell, were buried in Elvaston cemetery in 1889 & 1931 respectively. However, when I visited this cemetery, I did not find their tombstones. I have never requested cemetery records before and am wondering where would I send the request? To the courthouse? To the local genealogy society? I've seen references to the sextons of various cemeteries but this cemetery was out in the middle of farmland and I did not see any caretaker facilities around.
