LA CROSSE, ILL., Dec. 30. On Monday last, Harrison Patterson, a youth of 16, took his shot gun in the timber where he was cutting wood. To keep the gun out of the snow, he laid it up in a thorn bush. Shortly after he went to remove it and took hold of the muzzle, the gun was discharged, the entire load entering his right arm near the shoulder. On Wednesday morning mortification set in, which soon extended to the body, resulting in the young mans death Friday morning last. . . . . . JUNIUS.
