Robert M. Kimbrough, was born April 30, 1844, was united in marriage to Almeda Bryant, December 19,1871 and died Wednesday evening, March 8, 1905, aged 60 years, 10 months and 16 days. His wife, one son, Dennis, and one daughter, Flora, wife of Lawrence Lane, are left to mourn him, his son Leo, having preceded him only five short weeks to the great beyond. This fact makes his death doubly sad for the devoted family and best of friends. He is also survived by four sisters, Mrs. Hiram Bryant, of Missouri, Mrs. Summers, of Kansas, Mrs. Martha Wetzel, of Carthage, and Mrs. Adaline Hopkins, of Bentley, and two brothers, Wm., of Washington, and George, of Quincy, and three grand children. The departure of Robert Kimbrough is keenly felt in this community. He was the kindest of neighbors, generous almost to a fault, and all who entered his hospital home were sure of the same glad welcome. The funeral discourse was preached by Eld. L. E. Frazee at Middle Creek Baptist church to a large crowd of sympathizing friends, Friday at 11 a. m., and his remains were placed beside those of Leo, in Holland cemetery.
