Triboulet: Obituary Mr. Jos.P. Triboulet died at his home in Appanoose township Wednesday evening of last week, of congestion of the brain. Mr. Triboulet was born in French Co., France, April 25, 1837, and came to Nauvoo (Hancock county,IL) in 1848 with his parents, sister and three brothers, and has resided in the city and vicinity ever since. In 1864 he was married to Miss Isabel George, who survives him together with four children, one daughter,Madge, and three sons, Homer, George, and Julian, and also has three brothers. Mr. Triboulet was a prominent and highly respected citizen and his irreproachable traits of character endeared him to his fellow citizens. Unassuming in the way of display, he was always striving to do good, and his unexpected and untimely death was heralded throughout the community with many thoughts of profound regret and sorrow. He was a manly man in every sense of the word. Deprived of enjoying the fruit of life's work, in old age, he was compelled to "approach his grave, like one who wraps the drapery of his coach about him, and lies down to pleasant dreams. Such men are hard to spare from any community, but the will of the Maker was honored and another shining ornament was removed from our midst. May he rest in peace. The funeral took place from the Catholic church Friday afternoon, a large community of friends following the remains to the cemetery. Rev. Father L.DeCattley, of Fort Madison, officiated, Father Reimbold being absent.---Nauvoo Independent August 28 1891. Note: Joseph was born in Frotey-les-Lure, Haute Saone, France: source: Church baptismal records. He died 8/19/1891 at Basco, Hancock county, IL. Cause: Heat stroke. Brothers surviving: Francois Edouard, Charles Jules, and August Emil. A sister, Eugeni Josephine preceded him in death.
