She was born in North Carolina, was married there in 1832 to Solomon Kennedy and in 1834 came to Illinois, locating in Carthage in 1875. She was the mother of four children. Mrs. Boston being the survivor. Mr. Kennedy passed away in 1895. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist church from youth and her life was guided by true religion.
