John Boston died Sept. 15, 1906, aged 74 years. When a child he was brought to this county from Kentucky. He was married March 19, 1868, to Miss Charlotte Fletcher at the old parsonage at Middle Creek, and they settled on the farm 5œ miles southeast of Carthage, which had since been his home. Seven children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Boston: William, Mahala Timberlake of Kansas, Lottie Tucker of Carthage, Sylvester of near Plymouth, Lizzie and Freddie at home. Otha, twin brother of Lottie, died in childhood. The funeral was held at the M. E. Church here Tuesday at 10 o’clock, the Masons escorting the body to the church, and in charge of interment ritual at Moss Ridge. These singers from the Elm Tree church formed a choir, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Galloway, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lane, W. N. Reno and C. A. Smith.
