MATHEWS. I'm searching for a marriage record for James H. MATHEWS and Hannah Drury Welbourne BAXTER. The marriage would have taken place about 1854. Can anyone recommend how I would go about locating this record since it is more recent than the indexes I have seen? James and Hannah had two daughters born about 1855 - maybe twins - one Alice, the other perhaps Emeline. Is there an index of births in Hancock County for this time period? Lastly, trying to find this family in the 1860 census for Hancock county Illinois and Hannah's parents, William and Alice BAXTER.
