Data was compiled from old county records, old newspaper articles, cemetery 'walks', etc. The STANDLEY surname is spelled STANLEY in the referenced book. STANLEY, Moses - b. ca. 1775 in Virginia. His wife, Jane, b. ca. 1786. Their children were: 1 - Moses, Jr., b. ca. 1820 in TN 2 - Almeda, b. ca. 1825 in TN 3 - Agnes, b. ca. 1827 The family lived in St. Albans Twp. before 1850. STANLEY, Moses Jr. - a wagon maker, b. ca. 1820 in TN. His wife, Deliah, b. ca. 1815 in KY. Children: 1 - William, b. ca. 1837 2 - Sarah E., b. ca. 1840 3 - Francis M., ca. 1842 4 - Samuel, b. ca. 1845 5 - James D., b. ca. 1848 6 - Will, b. ca. 1849-1850 The family lived in St. Albans Twp. before 1850.
