After the inquest, the body was taken to the home near McCall, where the funeral was held yesterday afternoon, with interment at Franklin cemetery. Luther B. Earls was the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Earls, and was born in Floyd county, Va., August 8, 1880. The family came to this state later and he was here married to Miss Kunz on November 30, 1902. To this union were born eight children, six of whom survive with the wife Joy, Blossom, Gladys, Frances, Lucile and Floyd. Mr. Earls was an industrious man and a good citizen, and his untimely death and the manner of his death has been a great shock to his family and friends. They have the sympathy of the entire community. The Carthage Republican Carthage, Illinois Wednesday May 19, 1920 Page 1 Column 1 ------------------------ Note: Miss Kunz is incorrect.
