She was the daughter of James and Sarah Frances Kimbrough and was born near Carthage January 14, 1883. She was married Nov. 30, 1902 to Luther Earls, who died in 1920. Mrs. Earls was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Frank Washburn of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Mrs. Glen Washburn of Iowa City, Iowa; Mrs. Neil Cutkamp of West Point, Iowa; Mrs. Eugene Crear of West Point, Ill.; and Mrs. James Kimmell of Carthage; a son, Floyd Earls of Houston, Texas; two brothers, Frank Briley of Carthage and Thomas Briley of the west coast; a half-brother, Ross Koontz on the west coast; two sisters, Mrs. W. I. Earls and Mrs. Alfred Wear of Carthage, and ten grandchildren. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Methodist church.
