    3. Dear forum, The Hancock Co. Hist. Soc. has a burial list prepared by Hazel Boston Kelly for the Old Brick Cemetery. In the introduction she mentions that at the time of her visit the grass was cut, but doesn't mention the date of her visit. She mentions testimony by Charlotte Fletcher Boston in a court case, but doesn't give the date or reference it, but says that the ground was used for about five years before the sale (by George Boston to Middle Creek church). This would indicate the cemetery could have been started as early as 1836, in my opinion. There is also another paper which begins "This burial list for Old Brick Cemetery is being entered in the Warren L. Van Dine sponsored project, August 19, 1975." But I did not find the list itself, unless it is the same list as mentioned above by Hazel Boston Kelly. I got the impression there might be another list from the fact that the list on the Hancock County genweb site has quite a few names which are not on Hazel Kelly's list. For example: Rebecca Preston Kimbrough, William Kimbrough, and quite a few more are listed on the Genweb list but not on Hazel Kelly's. If anyone knows where the Warren Van Dine list actually is, or has a copy, and can help me obtain a copy, I would be grateful. I'm trying to determine how recently some of the stones may have been seen. Those which have been seen and included on the two lists mentioned above are probably most hopeful to be found. Sincerely, Robert ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Surf the Web up to FIVE TIMES FASTER! 3. Robert, isn't that list done by Warren VanDine available at the Hancock County Historical Society office? I've found most of the cemeteries have lists there done by him. 3. Robert, If anyone knows of any Van Dines I would be curious to hear from them. My great grand mother Clara was born to Mike Merry or Murry(we don't know for sure) and his wife Oma Van Dine in 1880 in Indiana. Mike and Oma were both born in Ohio. This is about all I can find on this family. If anyone has any access to Hancock co. records and can find any of these names I would like to here from them. Thanks, Ronda [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert L Webb" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, June 27, 2004 2:39 PM Subject: Burial Lists of Old Brick > Dear forum, > The Hancock Co.
