Hi Beverly in Texas..I keep an old dictionary at hand for just these situations.. Profane, Not sacred or devoted to sacred purposes; not possessing any peculiar sancitity; secular; irreverant toward God or holy things; speaking or spoken, acting or acted in contempt of sacred things or implying it; blasphemous; polluted. Not sure of the date of the book...when I read your message I thought it was a person very verbal, outspoken that is the first thing that came to my mind. Glad I looked it up hope this helps.. --- [email protected] wrote: > In a message dated 8/3/2004 1:49:20 PM US Eastern > Standard Time, > [email protected] writes: > >Some other things are said in the obit > about him being very profane. < > > Profane can mean one was not very religious, but it > can also mean a vulgar > person.
