Shawnee, Thanks for your efforts in completing this Green Plains Cemetery posting. I visited Green Plains in September and found the tombstone for my 3rd great grandmother, Elen (Eleanor)Huddleston HAMILTON, 2 Nov 1797-8 Sep 1876. It appears to have fallen over many years ago and is imbedded in the ground not far from its base next to the tombstone of her daughter and son-in-law William W. and Ruth Hamilton HOWES (in the back part of the cemetery). In all likelihood the mower is clearing this rock. I was delightfully surprised especially since I was aware her grave was not listed on the records I had obtained through the HCHS. I can email a very clear photo of this tombstone to anyone who might want to see it. Hi Madonna, Is her daughter Ruth born February 10, 1823 d: February 6, 1893 and William F. Howes b:1864 d: 1912?
