Kim, the Illinois State Archives has microfilm of the early records for each county. Western University at Macomb is the archive for Hancock County. http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/GenealogyMWeb/iradsrch.html I checked for Coroner's Records but it appears that they started after the dates you specified in your email. You might take a look at other records that they have for Hancock County. If you send a research request, I don't think there is a charge for the search just for the copies. I have looked for early records at the courthouse and have had success with land, of course, and probates but many of the other older records are not available. The Historical Society is a great source for us. They have a card file for individuals mentioned in their various holdings. You should send your request to them and see if they can locate something there. You will need to send a letter to them.
