I see there are a lot of references the past several days for people requesting information from Mrs. Bruennen's "Pioneers of the Prairie". It has been said before and I'm going to repeat--use that book as a beginning source but back it up with further research. There are a number of errors and assumptions throughout that volume--as in all histories, I assume! She did a lot of work putting that together but some of the information is in error.
