I am interested in death certificates that were discussed in an earlier post and wonder what the dates would be for early records. I have family who died in 1883 and 1866. thanks, Lorelee

Death records in Hancock County start in 1877. The IRAD depository at WIU in Macomb, Ill. has ones for 1883 on microfilm as does the Family History Library. Later ones are not at IRAD, but all are at the county courthouse.
