Newspaper article DR. CHAS BROWNING DIES IN SAN MERINO Announcement was made this week of the death on September 28 of Dr. Charles C. Browning at his home in San Marino. Dr. Browning, for several years a resident of Highland, was a brother of John Browning and during his residence here was a partner of Dr. J. H. Evans. Dr Browning had been an invalid for several years. 422A WHO WHO In America: Medical Doctor Article 1939 Charles Browning was a very successful doctor. He came to California for his health, and practiced medicine in Highland, where he was one of the leaders in the establishment of the Highland Domestic Water Co. and of the Highland Bank. He, with a few of his doctor friends, started what later became the San Bernardino County Medical Assn. Dr. Browning moved to Los Angles about 1910, where he specialized in the treatment of diseases of the lungs, and held many responsible positions in the Medical Association.
