I have an ancestor who lived in Vermont, Fulton County, for many years. He died in 1923 and is buried in Vermont. I would assume that he died in Fulton County, however, his name does not appear in the Illinois State Archives on-line index. I have tried name variations. I realize that he may have died out-of-state. But, I wonder if anyone has encountered any omissions in the on-line index. In other words, should I request a death certificate for him from Illinois anyway? Thanks for any advice! Judy Oklahoma City
