Greetings, friends, I haven't seen much activity on the Hancock county forum recently. Best wishes to you all, for a happy and prosperous new year in 2007. I just returned from checking the Old Brick cemetery, and found all well. There has been a lot of brush and tree clearing done within sight of the cemetery since I was there last, several weeks ago. A lot has happened since then - including three of us from Carthage, riding on a flatboat on the Ohio River between Old Shawneetown, Ill., and Elizabethtown, Ill., (and exploring Cave-in-Rock in between) on Dec. 13th.
