Turner of southeast of Burnside, who were notified Nov. 30 of the death in the war area of France of their son, Sgt. Lee E. Turner, had received frequent letters from him as he was very much attached to his home. It was Sgt. Turner's custom to send money home for his parents to take care of and in a recent letter the told them he wished his mother buy herself a nice Christmas present with some of the money and materials for a Christmas dinner for the family. He wanted the home Christmas to be the same as usual. He death in his country's service is deeply mourned by the family to whom he was so devoted.
