A few Obit's I have collected Mrs. Emma Lowary Loraine, Ill., Jan. 17. -- Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Lowary, who died in a nursing home at Quincy last Friday, were held in the Tanner funeral home here Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock and in the Methodist church at West Point at 2 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Randall Wofford, pastor of Paloma Methodist church. Mrs. Sarah Gordon and Mrs. Scott Gordon sang, with Mrs. Roxie Simmons as accompanist. The pallbearers, all nephews, were Oscar Gerhardt, Walter Gerhardt, Fred Gerhardt, George Herzog, John Flack and Fred Guiter. Burial was in Buckeye cemetery. Mrs. Gerhardt, a daughter of George and Katherine Gerhardt, was born in Newark, N.J., April 30 1861, and in 1864 she moved to Colorado with her parents. In 1875 they moved to a farm in Lima township and in 1878 she was married to James Lowary. The husband and three children, Frances, George and an infant son, preceded her in death. Surviving are three sons, Charles, William and Frank of Aberdeen, S.D.; three daughters, Mrs Lily Fry of Aberdeen, Mrs. Alice Babbit of Seattle Wash., and Mrs. Maude Roberson of Loraine; one brother, Charles Gerhardt of Mendon; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Klatt of Quincy and Mrs. Lillie Herzog of Peoria; 24 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
