Mapes, 40, died in St. Joseph Hospital in Keokuk, Ia., at 12:05, Tuesday morning. Born in Nauvoo, October 1, 1912 she was the daughter of William and Laura Myrtle Wyatt Knachle. On July 21, 1933, she married Lloyd Thomas Mapes of Powellton, Ill., who survives, along with four children: Mrs. Doris Jeannine Steinhour, Carthage, Lloyd Thomas, Jr., Gloria Jean and Danny Joe at home; one grandson; three sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Rahn and Mrs. George Nichols of Nauvoo and Mrs. Harl Nelton of Dallas City; two brothers, W. L. Kachle, Nauvoo; W. E. of Davenport; Sam and George Huffman, half-brothers of Nauvoo. Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Ferris Christian Church with Rev.
