Edgar J. Lowary DURHAM, Mo. -- Edgar J. Lowary, 64, of Durham Route 2, a longtime employee of Harris Corp., died at 7:15 P.M. Saturday (Oct 18, 1989) in St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield. Mr Lowary was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Stillwell, Ill., a son of Edward and Maye Belle Newman Lowary. He married Helen Helms July 11, 1953, in Pitsfield, Ill. She survives. Mr Lowary was employed by Haris Corp. for 34 years as an electronics technician, retiring in 1987. He was a member and deacon of Hester Baptist Church, an member of the Quarter Century Club of Haris, and a member of the Lewistown American Legion Post 578. He was a Navy veteran of World War !! and the Korean Conflict. Survivors also include two sons Harold H. of Quincy, Ill., and James L. of Columbia; two daughters, Pat Lowary of Quincy and Diana Moore of Durham, a brother, Virgil E. of West Point, Ill., two sisters Ruth S. and Hazel E. Lowary, both of Quincy, and three grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10 A.M. Tuesday in Hester Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
