John D. Lowary Tioga, Ill., March 25. -- Funeral services for John David Lowary of Tioga will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 in the Breckenridge Christian church in Walker township, conducted by the Rev. William Bailey of Fowler. Burial will be in Buckeye cemetery near Breckenridge. Mr. Lowary, 66, died Saturday morning about 8:30 in St Joseph Hospital, Keokuk, IA., where he had been a patient since March 15. He was born near Breckenridge March 14, 1885, a son of Robert and Martha Ellen Elston Lowary. He married Miss Mary Caroline Staaf of Tioga Sept. 16, 1909, at Carthage. The couple lived near West Point most of their married life, until they bought a house at the edge of Tioga about six years ago. Mr. Lowary was a farmer most of his life. Surviving are the widow; a son, Floyd Lowary of Chicago; there brothers, Tom and Charles Lowary of Breckenridge and Ed Lowary of Ewing, Mo.; three sisters Mrs. May Newman of Hamilton, Mrs Herman Rabe of Adams and Mrs. Carl Keil of Route 5, Quincy, and two grandchildren, Larry and Mary Ellen Lowary of Chicago.
