She was born Feb. 3, 1916, in rural Bowen, the daughter of Mele and Lucretia Geoffrey. She married John Howard Boston at Carthage, June 18, 1936. He survives. She is also survived by two nieces, Mrs. Jack (Bonnie) Smith of Rockford and Mrs. Dorothy Barnhill of Quincy. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. She was a member of the Christian Church at Bowen since 1951 and was a graduate of Augusta High School. She enjoyed embroidery and needlework. Funeral services were held Thursday in the LamPorte Funeral Home of Carthage with the Rev. Charles Coonce officiating. Burial was held in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Augusta. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
