My husband's great grandfather John William WILLIS b. Kentucky, 1832, married Martha Ellen MAUK in 1855 in Hancock County. They lived there until about 1886 and along with other families migrated to Allen County, Kansas. They became members of the Primative Baptist Church. Prior to being in Hancock County, John William Willis was in McDonough county. His mother, Nancy, married after the death of [Unknown] Willis, Robert Boyd. She married third, John Gibson. Need given name of [Unknown] Willis who probably died in McDonough County before 1840 as Nancy Willis is head of family on the 1840 McDonough county census. Thanks, Nancy Willis
