HELP!!! Looking for info on my GG Grandparents George W (C) BEAT(T)Y and Caroline WESTBROOK(S). They were married Oct 17, 1865 in Hancock Co, and I rec'd a copy of both their marriage certificate, as well as a portion of the county marriage register showing their registration for a marriage license. They were married by GEORGE W MILLER, Minister of the Gospel. Unfortunately, their marriage certificate has very little other info on it. Does anyone know what church MILLER was associated with? Or did he perform marriages at various people's homes? The portion of the register they sent includes 6 other marriages performed by him between Oct 15 and Nov1 1865. I know nothing of either George or Caroline prior to the 1880s except this. I am trying to determine where they lived in Hancock Co., both before and after their marriage. They moved to IA sometime between 1880 and Jul 1882, from which point on I have them well documented. Any info on Pastor Miller? Thank You Gary Speck GTUSA@aol.com
