Mrs. Ernest Munson died at St. Joseph hospital, Keokuk, Iowa at 1 o'clock Friday morning. About six weeks ago she took ill with appendicitis and had to undergo an operation and from the beginning was in a critical condition. Last week she had to undergo a second operation and for several days seemed to be gaining, but a relapse set in Thursday night. Mrs. Munson was thirty-five years of age and was held in high esteem in the community. She is survived by her husband and two children, a son and a daughter. A short funeral services was held at the M. E. church at Burnside Sunday morning at 9.30. Rev. Pilgrim conducting the services after which the body was taken to Smithfield, Ill. Mrs. Munson's former home where another short service was held and burial made in the Smithfield cemetery. Besides her husband and two children, she leaves to mourn her departure, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Brill of Laclede, Mo., four sisters and two brothers; Mrs. Clara Crawford of St. Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Retta Laswell of Cuba, Ill., Mrs. Nola Nott, Pekin, Ill., Miss Beulah Brill of Summer, Mo., Johnie Brill, Pekin, Ill., and Owen Brill, Laclede, Mo.
