Munson, 80, a lifetime resident of Elvaston, died Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Long Term Care Unit of Blessing Hospital in Quincy. She was born Sept. 14, 1914, in Elvaston, the daughter of Verne and Mabel Pomroy Miller. She married Arthur Loren Munson Sept. 24, 1939, in Elvaston. He died Aug. 21, 1992. She is survived by two sons, Loren Munson of Armonk, N.Y., and John Munson of Milan; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Munson of Elvaston; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Richard Munson on June 20, 1986; a brother, William Homer Miller II; a grandchild and a great-grandchild. Mrs. Munson was a graduate of Elvaston High School. She was a lifetime member of the Elvaston Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America. Services will be held today, Wednesday, at 1:30 p.m. at the Elvaston Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dwain DePew officiating. Burial will be in the Elvaston City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Blessing Hospital Long Term Care Unit of Quincy or to the Elvaston Presbyterian Church.
