Roberta, Would you look up a John Edgar YOUNG in your book? Allow me to give you a few details that may help. He was born 1788, married Mollie Mitchell 1809, died June 1840, and buried at La Harpe, IL. There are five children mentioned with only one buried locally. It was his son, William - born 1 Feb 1812, married 5 Mar 1835 to Hannah Reynolds, died 20 Oct 1861, and buried at La Harpe, IL. The other children and Mollie were buried in PA. Although I don't have proof, I get the feeling he left Mercer County, PA later in life and that he was a man of the cloth. Any help you provide is greatly appreciated and if nothing is found, then again I thank-you for your time and effort.
