Robert, you are welcome. To everyone else on the list, my husband and I were able to visit the Old Brick Cemetery on Monday. We have been following all of Robert's hard work with interest and wanted to see for yourselves. We chose to park and walk first across the oak plank bridge then up the hill to the cemetery. There is a wide freshly mowed path that is car accessible but you would miss hearing the breeze in the trees, the water in the creek and the red winged blackbirds. You would also miss walking along prairie grasses that are higher than your head. (How did people manage to walk across this country to the west.) Neither my husband nor I have relatives buried here. To any of you that have not had the chance to visit this cemetery, please try to do so in the near future. If you have family members in this cemetery, please know that they 'rest in peace'. I found it when I went out to put up white flags to mark the rows, tonight. I also did some probing. No new names to report, but I did find the top part of the Hannah Wardwell stone. It had sunk into the ground about eight or ten inches deep, right beside where her stone and base are, so it appears her stone is indeed in the right place. It's nice to have the decorative top - the decoration engraved on the stone looks like a weeping willow tree. I'll take apicture later, and will send it to Ron Bryant for his website, and to anyone else who wants to see it. >Robert > > >==== ILHANCOC Mailing List ==== >List owner Shawnnee Bolt Ramey shawnnee@jrsenterprizes.com > > > > >-- >No virus found in this incoming message. >Checked by AVG Anti-Virus. >Version: 7.1.394 / Virus Database: 268.8.3/362 - Release Date: 6/12/06 > > -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
