She was about 31 years old at the time of her death and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Roberts, who reside east of Augusta. The funeral was held at Long Beach Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock and the body was laid to rest at Long Beach. Death of Mrs. Ralph Munson. We have the following obituary of Mrs. Ralph Munson, wife of one our near neighbor boys and who after her marriage lived for almost two years as our near neighbor, and it was with regret we learned of her death at Long Beach, Calif. Zonria Alma Roberds was born at Oakwood, about five miles east of Augusta, Ill., May 1, 1891. She was the daughter of Francis and Esther (White) Roberds. Alma, as she was called by all, grew to womanhood in the neighborhood where she was born, and by her happy loving disposition, made many friends. On Christmas Day, 1909, she was united in marriage at Macomb, Ill., to Ralph Munson of this vicinity. They remained for a time with the groom's parents, later on they went to housekeeping on the place known today as the Moore Bros. farm, where they lived for a while, later moving to Plymouth to make their home. Mr. Munson worked at the barber trade. To them one daughter, Beryl, has blessed their home, who is now 12 years old. About three years ago the family moved to Bowen, where they lived until a year ago last June, when a change of climate seemed advisable because of the wife's delicate health. They motored to Colorado, going on from there to Long Beach, Calif., and at that place they have since made their home. On Jan. 12th, 1923, at the age of 31 years, 8 months and 12 days, Mrs. Munson was suddenly called to her eternal home, leaving to mourn their loss the husband, one daughter, Beryl, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Roberds, of Oakwood, one brother, Andrew Roberds, of Augusta and four sisters, Mrs. Victor Munson, of La Harpe; Mrs. Joura Campbell, of Galesburg; Mrs. Minnie Stover, of Macomb, and Mrs. Moro Noel, of Burmingham, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at her home in Long Beach last Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 16, 1923, with interment in Sunnyside cemetery at Long Beach. Ralph's many friends here deeply sympathize with him and the dear little daughter in their loss and deep grief. May the mother's presence, who is with the family now, be a great help to them in this sorrowful hour. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Munson sympathize with them in the loss of their little daughter Grace, who died, after an illness of less than two weeks from pleuro-pneumonia, and was buried at Majorville Sunday afternoon. Many from here attended the funeral. The Carthage Republican Carthage, Illinois Wednesday January 27, 1909 Page 1 Column 2 ------ JOETTA. The saddest occasion it has been our lot to attend lately was the funeral of our friend, Grace Munson, last Sunday afternoon. Grace Ethel Munson, daughter of Eli and Mary Munson, departed this life Jan. 23, 1909, aged 14 years, 11 months and 23 days. Her death was unexpected. She had taken a little cold but nothing alarming until it developed into pneumonia which proved fatal. Grace was a kind, loving girl, winning all whom she met. In one of Rev. Mrs. Browington's meetings she expressed a desire to become a christian. Grace was so full of sunshine that she will be sadly missed, not only in her own home, but by her large circle of friends. She leaves a father, mother, five brothers and two sisters to mourn her loss. Funeral services were held at Majorville Sunday, Jan. 24, 1909, conducted by Rev. W. H. Love assisted by Rev. Mr. McNiel. Floral tributes were very lovely. The pall bearers were four of her lady friends, Hattie Dennison, Alma Parker, Lucy Londree and Callie Gipe. A large concourse of friends gathered to pay the last tribute of respect to a loved companion and friend. The family have the deepest sympathy of all and they feel very grateful to their many friends who assisted them in this trying hour. Those who attended the funeral from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Munson, of Plymouth, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Munson and son Lawrence, of Adrian. Green Bagby, and Murtes Bagby. Looking for info and leads regarding the family of John Carrol Bagby who lived in both Adams County and Macon County, Illinois and is buried in Hancock County. John Carrol Bagby was the son of William and Eliza Waring Bagby, born in North East Township, Adams County, Illinois, July 13, 1853. He was the sixth of their nine children. John Carrol Bagby married Mrs. Mary A. Green (maiden name is unknown) in Adams County on October 11, 1875 (this is the only known record of Mary A. Green). He died December 6, 1889 in Decatur, and is buried in Pulaski Cemetery, Hancock County, Illinois. In a letter written February 9, 1886 from Decatur,Macon County, Illinois, by John Carrol Bagby to his father then living in Augusta, Hancock County, Illinois, he indicates that he has moved to Decatur. John Carrol writes that he (the letter says we are living in the house with Mag so he is with his family) is staying with his sister, Margaret Elizabeth Bagby Wade, who operates a boarding house there. The letter gives 144 Merchant Street, Decatur, as the address of his sisters boarding house. In the Will of William Bagby, dated June 23, 1904, he mentions Murtes Bagby, daughter of my deceased son, John C. Bagby. In the final report by the Executor of the Will of William Bagby to the 1909 October Term of the Hancock County, Illinois County Court, it is proven that Murtes Bagby was deceased at the date said Will was made and executed indicating that she died before June 23, 1904. No other info on Murtes Bagby is known. Any information or leads appreciated. Dan Dunham

Also listed were Robert Carlile. ...Eleven months after the first Baptist Church was organized the members resolved to build a brick meeting house. This evidently located on Lot 5, N.. quarter Section 21 , as in June, 1861, the trustees of the Baptist church made a quitclaim deed to the property to Mary Carlile.... futher on it states that Plot ten consisted of 34.90 acres belonging to James Carlile , and laid just south of the row of "blocks" facing north on the west main street . The original Sommerset was located in Section 16, while the survey on the south side of the street was in section 21. This comes from Chapter 24 pages 190-195. I don't know if this is the Mary Carlile you are interested in. Maybe you are researching her daughter Mary Carlile. I assumed the one mentioned in this history was the one I have been researching who was married to James M. Carlile. But her maiden name was Troxel. I have information on some Carliles who came to MN. I am interested in anything more on the Carliles of Hancock County. I will exchange. I live in Laporte, MN. Where do you live? Debbie
