    3. Hi All, I am sorry I have not got the cemetery lists complete yet. I had to take some time off because my daughter has had a nervous breakdown and I have the girls. It has been very hard for me and I am trying to at least keep up with the deaths online and saving them to a file and Robert Webb has sent me some pictures to put online too. I have not forgotten Robert. Please bare with me and I will get back to the cemeteries as soon as I can. I hope you all understand. Shawnnee

    3. Hi, friends, Friday morning I mowed the Old Brick cemetery again, and that evening Ray S. and I went out again, and he confirmed and clarified the location of some unmarked graves, and offered ideas and help from his experiences, which should help us locate more stones if they are there. I am 99% sure now of the location of the grave of John C. Berry, although there is no stone. Warren Van Dine interviewed my grandfather many years ago, and my grandfather told him that the cemetery was covered with brush, so they went in and cleared a spot and dug a grave (in 1931). It would be the closest one to the gate found so far. I've ordered a probe like Ray's and when it comes I will be out there (as time permits) looking for more stones. I will let you all know of any I find. Ray deserves a medal for the amazing, awesome marvelous work he has done restoring a cemetery near his home, and I'm really happy to have his help. Sincerely, Robert ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Surf the Web up to FIVE TIMES FASTER! Surnames: allthatstuff Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Eg.2ADI/2156.1 Message Board Post: Hello, My search for a Thomas Burnett from Grayson County, Kentucky has led me to a Thomas Burnett in Hancock County, Illinois. I am aware that the Thomas Burnett whom I'm researching did relocate in Illinois. This Thomas Burnett married Hetty Stone, who is actually my relative. Thomas was born about 1789, I'm not sure when Hetty was born, but her parents were married about 1785. She had twin brothers (Moses and Aaron) born in 1789. I am aware that your Thomas and Ann Coontz Burnett did not marry until October 25, 1845 when the two were right around 55 years of age. I would say any children of Thomas' would not be Ann's. I am hoping someone can tell me if this Thomas Burnett may have had a wife by the name of Hetty, Harriet, Mehetable, or another longer form of Hetty.

    2. Robert L Webb
    3. Good morning, folks, Just a note to let you know I mowed the Old Brick Cemetery again yesterday (with a riding mower). Also sprayed weeds in the fence row all the way around (I think the fence was installed in 1899, and maybe repaired some in about 1958). Talked to the township caretaker yesterday, and plan to attend the next cemetery board meeting, to be sure we follow their desires, and not overstep the permission they have kindly given to us to work on the cemetery. Also, anyone who has ancestors buried there can given instructions as to specific care of their ancestor's stones and lots, and I would be overjoyed to receive that kind of information from anyone. Or, if they wish to make repairs, they can do so (should be done with the township caretaker's knowledge and consent). Regarding PROBING for old stones under the surface. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about the best type of instrument to use, or the best way to probe for stones. Off the top of my head, I can't remember all the ones there but Charles and his two wives are there as are my great-grandparents, Howard and Katie. Debby McCoy [email protected]

    3. There is no such thing as an address or phone number for Greenwood Cemetery. It is just a very pretty plot of land containing a number of burials on a hillside in Hamilton. You can probably find information by contacting the Lamporte Funeral Home, which is only about 2 blocks from the front gate, or the Hancock County Historical Society though.
