I have a problem - hope someone can help. First, I will list the Mastin Bond family as I have it in my records - dates all correspond w/husbands and families...I know Captain John Bond birth date to be 2-24-18161 Mastin Bond 1786 - 1847 Tabitah Ward Bond 1792 - after 1850 (children dates approx.) Susan Bond 1808 Elizabeth Bond 1810 Elisha Bond 1816 Mahala Bond 1814 John Bond (Civil War Captain) 2-24-1816 (our GGGrandfather) Richard Wade Bond 1819 Samuel Riley Bond 1821 Delilah Jane Bond 1823 Sarah Ann Bond 1824 Nancy J. Bond 1831 Moses Bond 1834 NOW, in the 1850 Hamilton County Census I find the following: Mastin Bond - not listed, he died in 1847 Tabitha Bond age 58 b. abt 1792 - this is OK (children - please note the great difference) Moses age 16 (birthdate would be abt 1834) Sarah A. 14 1836 Lucy J 17 1833 Tabitha E. 5 1845 Elizabeth 4 1846 Samuel R. 2 1848 John M. 1 1849 Once in awhile I notice an unexplained difference in ages - but I have been told that even a neighbor could have given out the information in absence of homeowner - and been wrong.
